Vision Statement

The Vision of Bretforton Village School

Our vision

With learning at its heart, Bretforton Village School grows knowledgeable, caring and capable young people who will make their world a better place.

Through our values of friendship, forgiveness, responsibility, respect, perseverance and trust, we demonstrate our love for our community, the world and everyone in it. We cultivate personal and emotional growth in our children, with the ability to reflect on their own actions and choices, knowing how these can impact the world in a positive way.

How we work towards our vision

The Bretforton Village School curriculum encourages intellectual growth and development by encompassing the three concepts of Head, Heart and Hand. Our curriculum allows pupils’ to build knowledge over time and inspires them to become curious about the world around them. We provide experiences that grow confidence and develop perseverance, enabling pupils to become effective members of their local and global community. We create opportunities to develop physical skills that they can use and refine over the coming years, enabling them to discover interests and leisure activities that they enjoy. We show them how the natural environment grows and develops over time, and how we can all have a positive impact on our world through the Forest School programme, which is an integral part of the Bretforton curriculum.
