Early Inclusion

Bretforton Village School values the contribution that every child can make and welcomes the diversity of culture, religion and individuality. We are committed to providing an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all of our pupils whatever their needs and abilities. All children are valued and respected equally as members of the school community. Every effort is made to ensure that pupils identified as having SEND are fully integrated into mainstream classes and have full access to curriculum offer.

Our inclusion lead is Hayley Pratley who can be contacted via the Office@bretfortonvillageschool.org email address.

At Bretforton, we strive to meet the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities under the 4 main areas of the code of practice (For more information regarding the four areas of need, please see the relevant sections of our SEND Policy) .

More Able Provision

At Bretforton Village School, any child showing exceptional ability is identified through our assessment process. Parents will be closely involved with the class teacher to agree and set targets and to provide appropriate provision through an Individual Challenge Plan (ICP). More able pupils will be supported through inclusive teaching, extension activities, working with pupils within school of a similar ability and attending workshops for Gifted and Talented pupils arranged in partnership with other local schools.
